Our First Gold Medal!

Alexandre Bilodeau won gold in the moguls finals on Sunday. He is the first Canadian Olympian to win gold on our home soil. The 22 year old is from Quebec.




Jennifer Heil won our first medal in Vancouver. She won silver in the women's moguls freestyle skiing event on Saturday. She was under tremendous pressure to win gold but I think she did a fantastic job and she should be proud to win silver. Jennifer is from Alberta.




The women's hockey team is also on a great start by defeating Slovakia at a record breaking 18-0! Way to go Canada!
